Our DUCO product specialist ensures the correct commissioning and balancing of the ventilation system:

  • He/she aligns all zone valves / controls and Tronic vents on one another.
  • He/she adjusts the supply and exhaust valves per room, as specified in the EPB file.
  • He/she calibrates the unit to achieve optimal efficiency/consumption for the dwelling.
  • He/she hands over the measurement report containing the balanced airflow rates.

DUCO provides the official ventilation performance report for the EPB file:

  • Our certified DUCO ventilation reporter performs a complete airflow measurement throughout the dwelling (supply, extract, transfer).
  • An official report (in accordance with STS‑P 73‑1) is prepared and uploaded to the EPB file within the relevant quality framework (BCCA or SKH).

This official dossier is a summary of the complete performance of the ventilation system and contains all information regarding measured airflow rates, grilles, transfer openings, etc.
The report is an essential component to complete the EPB file.

Terms & Conditions

  1. The ventilation unit has been fully installed and correctly connected to the duct system. The unit is properly connected to the power supply. The duct system has been constructed according to best practices (both supply and exhaust). See, among others, the 10 DUCO installation tips … DUCO is not responsible for the correct functioning of an installation where external factors (i.e. deficiencies in the duct system) make proper commissioning impossible.
  2. The preliminary ventilation design with the required flow rates per room is available on-site.
  3. All auxiliary components have been installed: controls, ventilation grilles for System C, and the supply and extract valves.
  4. All components are safely accessible for handling and measurement. Supply and extract valves are installed correctly and according to best practices (i.e. measurable!). Valves that cannot be measured will not be included in the ventilation reporting.
  5. Before the ventilation performance report can be drawn up, DUCO must be appointed as the ventilation reporter by the EPB reporter. This is done on the website of the relevant quality framework (SKH or BCCA). In this way, all necessary data—such as site location, preliminary ventilation design, etc.—are available. After assignment, DUCO receives an automatic notification. Only then can the appointment effectively proceed and the measurement report be uploaded.
  6. The site is open and accessible at the scheduled appointment time. The contact person is present on-site.
  7. All our rates are exclusive of 21% VAT. When 6% VAT applies, an “Attestation for the application of the reduced VAT rate of 6% for immovable works on private dwellings pursuant to the provisions of Royal Decree No. 20 concerning VAT rates” must be provided.
